Who am I?
Use of collected personal data
When you leave a comment on my website, the data entered in the comment form, but also your IP address and your browser’s user agent are collected to help me detect unwanted comments.
If you are a registered user and upload images to this website, I advise you to avoid uploading images containing EXIF GPS coordinates. Visitors to your website can download and extract location data from these images.
Use of the contact form requires the transmission of your name (or pseudonym) and e-mail address. The e-mail address allows me to answer you.
If you leave a comment on my website, you will be offered to save your name, e-mail address and website in cookies. This is only for your convenience so you do not have to enter this information if you post another comment later. These cookies expire after a year.
If you have an account and log in to this website, a temporary cookie will be created to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. It does not contain any personal data and will be deleted automatically when you close your browser.
When you log in, a number of cookies is set up to store your login information and screen preferences. The lifetime of a login cookie is two days, while the one of screen option cookie is one year. If you tick “Remember me”, your login cookie will be stored for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookie will be deleted.
By modifying or publishing an article, an additional cookie will be stored in your browser. This cookie does not contain any personal data. It simply indicates the identifier of the article you have just modified. It expires after one day.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles…). Content embedded from other websites behaves in the same way as if the visitor were visiting that other website.
Statistics and audience measurement
The TCP/IP standard means that, for each request you make on this website, your IP address is transmitted (this allows the results of the request to be returned). This allows a rough estimate of the geographical location of the system making the request.
Also, this website maintains a tracking of page views. These statistics do not store the IP addresses that made the requests.
Use and transmission of your personal data
How long your data is stored
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are kept indefinitely. This automatically recognizes and approves the following comments instead of leaving them in the moderator queue.
The rights you have over your data
If you have an account or have left comments on this website, you may request to receive a file containing all the personal information I have about you, including the information you have provided. You may also request that your personal data be deleted. This does not take into account data stored for administrative, legal or security purposes.
Transmission of your personal data
Visitor comments are verified using an automated spam comment detection service.
How I protect your data
No personal data collected by this website is transmitted to a third party.
